We are glad to share the Swing news of this week :


   - *Social dance night at the Rotondes ! *


*This Monday September 5th, *meet us at the Rotondes with a lindy hop
taster with Eda and Anton, from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm. It's our first time
collaborating with the Rotondes, come and enjoy this new space for our
social dance night !

   - *Book club : *


*We launch a book club !* 🤓
We’re very happy to announce that our international guest teacher Viktor
will lead the very first book club in our community! We will read and
discuss together the book « Moving to higher ground » by Wynton Marsalis. *We
will meet on Thursdays, during lunch hours in Luxembourg city*. If you’re
interested, please send us a mail to info at swingdance.lu and we will provide
you with further information within the next couple of days, once we know
how many of you are interested. We also recommend that you order the book
soon as shipping might take some time. We found it for example at Ernster (

If you’re not able to join (all) the book club meetings, this book is still
worth reading ;) and maybe you will be able to come from time to time. In
any case we can have a chat about it at a social or after a class :) and
who knows if there is a big interest we might have a special talk about it
one day or another at a social dancing!


   - *Classes start in a week ! *


Weekly classes start in one week - if you have not yet enrolled, it’s time
to secure your spot. Remember that we have an incredibly talented
international guest teacher for this semester! *Viktor will also be
available for private classes *- just approach him before or after a class !
Private classes are really an amazing opportunity to learn.

   - *Last days to register for Swing the Abbey / the Cake team needs you !
   *


Many of you have already registered for Swing the abbey and we thank you
for that.
*If you have not yet registered, hurry up to get one of the last available
tickets* (leaders and couples in the orange and green tracks as well as the
beginner course; solo dancers for the blue track and the special classes)
as all tracks and classes are filling up. You might also want to consider
spicing up your festival with one or two special classes! For the closing
of our festival, we will have a party with live music and a cake buffet
prepared by our lovely cake team volunteers.

*Can you help out and bake a cake as well? I*f so please write a message
