We are glad to share the Swing news of this week :

*Social dance at Altrimenti : Halloween edition *


*This Monday October 31st, *our social dance is in Altrimenti with a Lindy
Hop taster from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm as per usual, right before the social
dancing part.

   - *No class this week*


The Halloween social night is the only event taking place this week.
Classes take a break and will start again on Tuesday 8th.


   - *Book club - last meeting **on 10/11*


Our weekly note that you can join our book club on (usually) Thursdays at
lunchtime, where we discuss « Moving to higher ground » by Wynton Marsalis
with Viktor and the group present. The next, and last session, will take
place on Thursday, November 10th.


   - *Cybersecurity : pay attention to fake FB events*


Recently, some Facebook pages and events have imitated Swing Dance
Luxembourg’s social dancings and events. Please watch out carefully before
you open those events and follow them. Our own events are always created by
the official Swing Dance Luxembourg page, shared on our Facebook account
and via this newsletter. In case of doubt, please drop us a line.


   - *Safe space*


On top of online security, we also wish our dance community to be a safe
space for everybody. So, from time to time, we mention it again and remind
ourselves how important it is for us and this community.
Safe means, among other, for everyone to feel free to say no to a dance
(without explanation), to feel physically safe (not getting kicked
accidently by the person next to you for instance), as well as to be part
of a space which is inclusive, leaving no room for inappropriate comments
nor inappropriate physical contact.
