We hope you've had a relaxing holiday break! Here is the swing news for the
week. No social dance is planned this week, but we’ll start again next
Monday.

·         *Tuesday, January 7th, Guided practice at Altrimenti

In January we’ll have weekly guided practice sessions to warm-up for the
spring courses! Our first guided practice by Freya will be on Tuesday from
20h30 to 22h00. We'll work on Charleston technique to be more at ease and
protect our knees. After basic technique, you’ll have time to practice your
basics and the moves you know. Bring your questions!

* Guided Practice is not a beginner taster, but everyone is welcome to try
out!

·          *Saturday, January 11th, Drop-in Blues dance class with Sjouke &

Following up on the blues classes from last semester and our recent blues
delux festival, we will organize our first monthly Drop-in Blues Dance
Class with Sjouke & Terje on Saturday January 11th, 2020 from 14h00 to
17h00 in Altrimenti! *The class will aim at dancers who already have some
blues dance experience.*

Topics of this first issue will include: solo moves, dancing triplets in
blues and some nice catches. During the break, we will give a short
presentation on the history of the "Tresillo" (triplets) in music. The
class will end with a guided practice to improve your skills on the social
dance floor.

There is no need to register in advance, just click 'going' on the

plan to attend. In case there are more followers than leaders (or vice
versa), we will ask more experienced dancers to now and then switch roles.

Price: 10 Euros at the entrance (please bring exact change and arrive a bit
before 14h00 if you like to join).
