Here are the news for this week:



*Swing events in Luxembourg*

*THIS WEEK:*



-       *SOCIAL DANCING: *We are officially opened the outdoor social
dancing season! Which means, we need to change our social dancing night
based on weather forecast!!! For now, it looks like it’s going to be a
rainy week. We will keep an eye on the weather and should one day suddenly
be nice, we are going to organize social dancing: so keep an eye on your
email because we’ll send a second newsletter out for that. We’ll also write
it on our facebook group.



-       *THURSDAY 14th - SWING FLOOR: *Last week, we launched our practice
sessions! Since practice is the crucial part in terms of advancing in our
dance life, we strongly believe that it will boost our social dances as
more and more you feel confident to dance with anyone. Please also note
that these practice sessions are for everyone because “practice makes
perfect” ;)

We will see you at Altrimenti between 20.00 and 23.00. You can come at any
time and for how long you wish. Entrance is € 5 per person. Check out the

Not sure what to expect? Here are some quick info:

a.     Practice session is NOT social dance nor a class! We come to
practice to work on the moves we learn in the previous classes or in the
videos we watch and feel inspired.

b.     Please come to practice session with any ideas to work on. It can be
about moves (lindy hop and solo jazz), technique, leading/following and etc.

c.     There will be music appropriate to practice and dance but for the
sake of practice, it is perfectly fine to stop your partner and talk/figure
out what has just happened. Essentially, this makes the difference between
the social dance and the practice. The music will not stop, so you can
continue whenever you want and feel comfortable.

d.     We will have practice assistances for each session who can help you
with any questions you may have, to the extent of their knowledge and
experience. Do not hesitate to go up to them ask, talk, share anything in
terms of lindy hop and solo jazz. However, please keep in mind that none of
us is professionals but we love to share.





-       *SATURDAY 16TH SwingLuxDay JUNE EDITION* is here! We have prepared
a nice program for you, working on basics, polishing your swing outs and
getting everyone on the dance floor when the Shim sham music starts! You
know the shim sham already? Come for a refresh! And Roumany might have some
nice tricks to spice up your steps. Registrations are open! Visit our

-       *TUESDAY 19th Fête de la Musique Kirchberg - *Zaltimband the
musicband from Zaltimbanq’ Zirkus leaves the circus for an exceptional
swing dance concert. Enjoy live swing music and join the open air dance

-      *4th JULY QuattroPole-Swing goes Europapark: *The Luxemburgish
government promotes the greater Region and the QuattroPole-Cities in Europa
Park with a large promotion event.

-      *28TH Sept – 30TH September: LENNART WESTERLUND IS COMING TO
LUXEMBOURG!! *You don’t know who he is? Let’s just say that if we are still
dancing Lindy Hop these days we owe it to him. Stay tuned because this
won’t be a simple workshop, but a proper festival!!!



*Quattropole Region:*

-      *THURSDAY 14th *– You cannot make it to our practice session but
still feel like dancing? Trier has its weekly social dance from 20.00 to
22.00 at Zurlaubener Ufer, 54292 Trier.

-      *SUNDAY 17th *– Tea Dance in Saarbrücken from 15.00 until 18.00 at
Tanzstudio Pyramide, Försterstr.12, 66111 Saarbrücken
