Hello Hoppers!  Here is our swing news for this week:  * Social dancing Join us for our regular, weekly social dancing: • Monday, January 23th: Social Dance @Scotts from 20:00 to 23:00, with a beginner tasterfrom 20:00 to 20:30. • Thursday, January 26th: Social Dance @Marionnette from 21:00 to 22:30. 
* TeachersA short announcement for the new semester: from thefirst week of next semester until Easter Martynas will be joined by Lee Meidan.
Lee Meidan taught at the famousLindy Shock festival in 2016. During her 3 years as a teacher in Dance TelAviv, she gave private and group lessons in Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston andSolo Jazz, wrote choreographies and helped grow the swing scene of Tel Aviv. 
* ClassesThe current semester will run until the end ofJanuary. The new semester will be starting immediately after this semesterends, on January 31st.   We have important news for the new semester: • We have opened up solo jazz for absolute beginners sosingle follows can find a spot to enjoy the spirit of swing dancing! • We have decided to replacethe swing rueda class with a brand new class called 'SlowLindy and Technique'.  Thisclass is open to all levels of dancers.  Don't worry,rueda will be practiced in the future!   The class will take place in Art&Sport onThursdays from 19:30 to 20:30. This course will be divided into two parts: slow Lindy and technique. Theslow Lindy or Slow Drag classes will focus on how to dance to slower music –new figures, new positions, rhythms and smooth movement. The technique partwill dive into everything that’s essential to establish a good dance: from theway you hold you body and move it, through connecting to your partner in thebest way and sharing information together during the dance, to letting themusic lead the way. During both parts you will learn lead and follow techniquesthat will generally be very useful in any other dances. The course will betaught by our teachers, Martynas and Lee.
