We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve added a dash of international flavor to our classes by welcoming Serpil Yildirim & Erol Akinci from Turkey. You can look forward to their invaluable contributions after the Easter holiday break.
They will be an integral part of our vibrant community, sharing their unique thoughts, style, and dance moves with us!

Serpil Yildirim & Erol Akinci
Serpil is a passionate one from Izmir, Turkey!
Shaping her dance mostly inspired by Afro-Cuban jazz, Serpil focuses heavily on embodying the music. For her dance Beyond the aesthetic experience, she sees dance as a way for existence and a social resistance.
Serpil works towards enabling more space for female dancers in the dance scene, particularly in Turkey.
Erol hails from Turkey and is driven by bop music and dance. Learning the lindy in class and jazz dancing outside of the classroom. He shifted his understanding and mentality over the years, realizing the history and culture of jazz. He is currently focusing on the local community and challenging himself by choreographing for several local dance troupes. He often focuses on improvisation and rhythm, finding ways to improve as a jazz dancer.
The dedication and love our local teachers bring to each class is what makes our dance community truly exceptional. We can’t wait to embark on this exciting journey with you in Spring 2024, guided by these passionate individuals who make learning to dance an unforgettable experience.
