One-day beginners course

This workshop took place in July 2013.

 

You can’t register any more for this workshop.
Thankfully, there will be more opportunities to learn swing dancing. After the holidays, in September, our regular Lindy Hop classes will start again. Registration for these classes will open in August.

In addition, we will have open beginners classes in Scott’s on Monday 29 July and on Monday 26 August from 20:00-20:30.

On Saturday, 20th July 2013, we will organise a one day Swing Dancing course for absolute beginners.

Date:	Saturday 20 July
Time:	11:00-13:00, 14:00-16:00 (1hr lunch break)
Location:	Ecole de Theatre
Cost:	25 euro per person (20 euro with Telecran discount coupon) 40 euro per couple (1 dancing male role, 1 dancing female role; no further discount applicable) To register as a couple, fill in the form once including both partners details.
Teachers:	Hugo, Ieva, Ingrida, Sjouke.
Language:	The workshop will be taught in English

After the course you’re all invited to join us at the Blues’n Jazz Rallye in Grund. There will be plenty of opportunity to try out your new dancing skills.

Registration FAQ

• ▸What’s the course language?
  Courses are taught in English.
• ▸Do I need a partner?
  No, during the course, we will frequently rotate partners anyway.
  Of course, there’s a discount if you bring a dance partner!
  Note that the discount applies only for leader-follower pairs
• ▸I heard you rotate dance partners during class?
  Like virtually all other Lindy Hop clubs, we rotate dance partners frequently during classes. This helps both leader and follower become better faster, as they both are exposed to different dancers with varying strengths and weaknesses.
• ▸I only want to dance with my partner!
  That’s fine with us. We won’t force you to dance with others – but we strongly encourage it. We know you’ll make progress a lot faster if you do dance with others.
• ▸I can’t view/fill in the form.
  On some system configurations, the form may not display correctly. In order to register, you can send the relevant details to info@swingdance.lu. Please include the following information: First name, Last name, E-mail address, Registering as a leader or follower, Telecran coupon discount or not. If you’re registering with a partner, also include your partner’s First name, Last name and E-mail address.
• ▸For couple registration: What do you mean by a “couple”?
  A couple consists of a leader (dancing as a male) and a follower (dancing as a female).
